That's what so problematic there's this automatic assumption that because the ship is from the side that won the war, they won't appreciate it as much, and so will treat the IJN ships like crap and act like dicks, or alternatively, the assumption that anything positive said about a US ship, either by a fan or the ship itself, is gloating. I'd say it's pretty lucky that Iowa managed to get through that relatively unscathed, especially considering that in her role of carrier escort, she was often in front of the carriers and as a capital ship was a prime target. It was almost a miracle that Bunker Hill and Franklin managed to limp home, and Princeton and dozens of destroyers weren't so lucky. I'm not suggesting that Yukikaze doesn't deserve her luck stat, but are you really suggesting that Iowa was in less danger than Yukikaze? The Essex class carriers were released at around the same time as the Iowas and had much of the same technology built in and many of them routinely had to retreat because of damage caused by bombing runs and kamikaze attacks.
